We built Lend Shed knowing that handing over a $2,000 trailer to someone you've never met is a leap of faith. Here are the systems that make it a reasonable one.
Six systems, every booking
Verified members only
Government ID checked before any rental or listing.
QR-scanned handover
Pickup and return logged with time-stamped scans.
Photo-documented condition
Required at pickup and return. Stored against the booking.
Bond protection
Refundable bond authorisation on every rental.
Encrypted data
Stripe handles cards. We never see them.
Real human support
Australian-based moderators read every dispute.
When things go wrong
Either side can raise a damage or late-return claim from the booking. The other side has 72 hours to accept or contest. If they don't respond, Lend Shed support reviews using QR scan timestamps and photo evidence. The bond is then released or applied based on the outcome.
